It was a good story.  So good in fact , that we had to change all the names in the story to preserve the innocence. He didn’t want to wake up this morning, and it was raining.  And it was hot and steamy morning. But he came anyway.  Rain and […]

What factors played a decisive role in today’s game? Here are a few to mention. New Ilya P. decides to switch teams, when  stink reaches very high levels.  Stas M. sacrifices himself and leaves to keep this new player. Boris Sh. shifts back into goalkeeping for 5 minutes to allow WHITEs […]

You might already knew this, but Warren has a game on Tuesday.  Oleg’s people placed a note on some Meet Up site (?), and kaboom – 31 people show up for 2 very competitive games.  I can only tell you about one game, both games finished about the same time […]

We played a short hot game of 11 on 12 (Georgi) from 9:25 to 11:02. This time youthful DARKs started very strong, but begin to break down very quickly on the hot summer sun.  A good third of WHITEs had to switch to equalize the teams: Dennis P., Matt, Dima […]

We started at 09:35 with a perfect 9 on 10 squad. DARKs were visibly weaker, but started strong with a 0:2 lead. Later Lou thrust DARKs forward one last time (2:3 at 09:57AM) with a fantastic goal in the upper most left corner of the goals (Alex B. almost got […]

Today we started 09:27 with a full set of players.  As Roma said after the game: “You are 5 minutes late, and you have to go to an overflow game…”  We have very very many people on Sundays. WHITEs were ahead 1:0 and 2:1, but with a superb play from […]

We played from 09:39 to 11:06.  As usual we had a fresh influx of young players. WHITEs opened with a goal from Lou to Marcello to the net at 09:42. There were no mo goals for the next 36 minutes.  Finally Yakov tricked the defender and goalkeeper, and sent the […]

One more warm football party on Warren grounds.  At a max point we gathered 25 people playing at the same time (13×12).  We played from 17:56 to 19:42. And the game had very few goals. DARKs had a great squad in offense – Nebati, Georgi and Erick.    101 -st […]

We started at 17:58.  It was a full 10 on 10 and later 12 on 12 game.  Very good, very interesting. Very sunny. First 2 goals (18:13 and 18:19) were for WHITEs.  Boris R. confirmed his title of Icebreaker, slash defense breaker.  He was getting through defense and doing his […]

Another very short, very low scoring game.  This time defense were omnipresent, and was blocking every feasible opportunity to pass or to advance. DARKs had Sasha L. and Nelson and Alex Z and new Nana keeping pressure upfront, while WHITEs had Ziya, and Zhenia V, and Vlad T, and Kevin pushing […]

We played from 09:50 to 11:26.  A nice homey game of 6 on 7 with 3 distinct dramas. Matt re-appeared today. Hurray!  His eye is mush better now.  Still stitches and a bruise, but the swelling is gone.  It is a stern warning for all of us – be careful!   […]
