Game Results 2011-06-26 SUN – Defense Makes the Weather

Another very short, very low scoring game.  This time defense were omnipresent, and was blocking every feasible opportunity to pass or to advance.

DARKs had Sasha L. and Nelson and Alex Z and new Nana keeping pressure upfront, while WHITEs had Ziya, and Zhenia V, and Vlad T, and Kevin pushing the buttons.

IT seem that WHITEs had a slight edge in their attacks.  It seem that WHITEs had more chances, and very closer to actually scoring.

Very slowly the advantage begin to materialize in  goals.  First Ziya supplied Kevin with a header shot on Henato (09:33).

Then, almost 50 minutes later Vlad T. receives a very generous pass from Zhenia V. and misses the ball.  The ball jumps and goes in unexpected direction and Henato can’t stop it – 2:0 (10:22).

When score reaches 3:0 (Ziya header at 10:38, high pass from Vlad T.) everybody is ready to leave.  Remaining 7 on 7 move goals closer and continue playing.  But the air is taken out of the game.  There are empty pockets everywhere and no one is moving.

Precisly in those empty pockets we are now finding 6 more goals.  Kevin serves a corner kick, and Vadim L. dispatches it into the net.  Sasha passes to Nelson, and Nelson scores 2 goals in 2 minutes.

People are searching for reason to stop moving and they are finding it around 11:19.  No more energy left, the gas tank is empty.

Number of games played is no longer a factor this season. If you a regular player, you have a chance to lead the scoreboard.  You need 5 games to be visible in this tournament.
