Everything happened in less than 2 hours – from 09:42 to 11:15. On Thursday morning I felt like it was time to go on a trip, but I didn’t know where to go. I was considering extended bike trips on a 93 mi Vermont Lamoille Valley Rail Trail or a NH 58 mi Northern Rail Trail. By 11:15 But I knew that I wanted to go do another section of AT that I never did before – 16 miles between router 93 and 112 in Lincoln, NH. I have a bit of planning the track on the computer, and after 2H I began speedy packing for this next trip.
What’s special about this trip:
No guns this time – the trail is a busy White Mountains section.
Relatively new L.L. Bean pants with cargo pockets. The old ones are too old for the task.
No oranges, no fruit and only minimum food for 2 nights.
Extra layers for warmth – it will be +2°C (36°F) the first night.
