Elevation profile for the whole trip shows Mount Greylock in the beginning and relatively mild ups and downs for the rest 40 mi of the hike

I traveled to various sections of AT 5 times in the last 2 months. I spent 11 nights, 16 days and explored trails and access routes to AT in ME, NH and MA.

I was catching dry windows of opportunity to travel and get maximum day length out of every day in the wild.

And after all that I still I prefer the state of Maine for its wilderness, its remoteness and its tranquility.
