Let’s look at the presidential election results of the last 3 elections.
We want to compare the popular vote results to understand where the voters are coming from.
2012 Obama vs. Romney
Obama goes for his second term as America continues to lose it international prestige. Obamacare that we all are paying for is already enacted at this point.
2016 Clinton vs. Trump
This year was a year of a sudden Brexit success in UK. Trump win in November was a second big surprise of the year. Trump is 70 years old at this point.
2020 Biden vs. Trump
In COVID year 2020, country started to experiment with electronic vote, and we can see 25 mil more voters appeared out of thin air. Biden was 78 and Trump 74 years old.
2024 Harris vs. Trump
Plausible explanations of Trump success are a complete failure of immigration policy, post-COVID inflation, instability in the Ukraine and Israel, Elon Musk push to help. What else? Biden uncomfortable fail at presidential debates? Assassination attempt? Please note that Harris attracted more votes that Clinton in 2016 (66 mil vs. 65 mil).
After 5 days of counting, Trump is finally getting over the number of popular votes he gained in 2020 elections – 74.2 mil. For Harris so far, it is 10 mil. less votes than Biden in 2020. For me it means that either 10 mil less people voted this time, or 10 mil extra mail-in votes were sent during COVID-19 hectic elections:
As of November 18, 2024, the total popular vote count reached 153.1 mil. That is still 5 mil votes lower than the COVID 2020 popular vote when the mail-in vote was seriously tested for the first time. Just a reminder that 2020 presidential election total popular vote count was 158.4 mil. As votes being counted in California, the gap between Harris and Trump is slowly shrinking. Now it is less that 3 mil votes.
As of Wednesday, November 27 the total Harris + Trump vote count reached 151.8 mil (not counting other candidates). The total number of votes counted in 2024 election so far is at 154.8 mil. Just imagine that 3 mil people voted for some other candidates.
It is still a mystery where 12 million more extra voters came from. Suddenly 12 mil casual non-voters decided to show up in 2020 precedential elections and then disappeared again in 2024. Very strange? It means that Biden election caused even bigger enthusiasm than Obama’s. How could it be?
Trump is still 2.2 mil voters ahead of Harris after one month of counting:
The current total popular vote is 155.2 mil. It is still over 3 mil. voters lower than unexplained splash of voter’s enthusiasm in 2020 – 158.4 mil voters. So, more people voted for Biden in 2020 (81.2 mil) than for Trump in 2024 (77.3 mil).
Now we can see a very interesting sequence of numbers – how many people voted for Republicans from 2012 to 2024: 59 mil –> 63 mil –> 71 mil –> 77 mil. Looks like an ever-increasing number.
