It will be cold and wet, but we probably still get 13-15 people.  Let’s just do it. Here are our venerable members from 11 to 20.  We are lucky that not all 92 are plying all the time. Seq Name Joined 011 Sergey Iskoz 2009-03-17 012 Alex Grt 2009-03-17 013 […]

22 players exactly.  Different people.  Different game, but exactly 22 people again out of possible 92.   Yes.   We are now 92, if double count is removed.  Here are our venerable first 10 members: Seq Name Joined 001 Dima VOP 2009-03-16 002 Lenia G. This Winter we played every single weekend.  Snow and cold didn’t stop the Newton Pickup Football Squad.   And exactly 22 players showed up for our first Warren game. Game under a gorgeous sun lasted only from 09:45 to 11:19.  A very short game. And a very low scoring game.  And […]

All Warren goals are unlocked, but the grass is really weak and muddy.  Most logical choice is to go to BROWN on Wednesday, and start on Warren next weekend.  Just a suggestion. Sunday game was a very good low scoring game, but it was interrupted at the most interesting page […]

Tomorrow we are still at Brown.  Next weekend they might open all fields for a regular Spring season. That will be a sign for us to switch to Warren. But one more time – tomorrow 4/3 SUN is still Brown. We started at 09:51 on a snowy field.  We only […]

Wednesday update – Someone quits in Addis-Ababa, and, after a series of chain events, I can’t play on Wednesdays anymore. Last week 03/20 SUN goal number 2 for WHITEs is transitioned from Zhenia D. to Zhenia A.  This change is reflected in a table bellow and in a file […]

Tomorrow still BROWN, but be really prepared for a big showdown for some kind of an event. Do not be late – we will be on the move. Today’s game was very frustrating. A lot of disappointed faces and many early withdrawals as a result. Game felt very short and […]

A big mistake of weather people.  We only saw a few flakes around 19:30 on the parking lot, when it was all over. We played from 18:07 to 19:26.  A very quick game.  But a perfect 4 on 4.  This time it was a lot of kids on the field, […]

All the good that there is in our people is shown brightly on the field.  All ugly and vicious goes swiftly out to the bottom, to the sediment, and disappears from our ranks. This is a good, productive chemistry.  Our group has a distinct alkaline quality.   That works better than […]

Being ejected from the Brookline radioactive  dump site, we quickly found a second artificial filed in a close proximity.  Tomorrow we are switching to BROWN.   Link with map  and directions is on the site under Links menu.  Backup plan is Upper Falls off a Chestnut street. We started on a […]
