Why am I willing to spend long hours writing about my hiking days and adventures although they are often monotonous and repetitious, while ignoring writing about my everyday pursuits that are often emotional and full of drama? My guess is that hiking explorations are completely planned and created by me, while work activities are driven by external needs and desires.
Over a week before the trip, I already knew that I would take an AT NH section between route 93 and route 302. REI vegan hikers’ meals were ordered and received in mid-August. Weather forecast for Lincoln, NH showed 9-11°C at night and 16-20°C during the day. FRI and SAT will be rainy.
Last actions on the day before the trip -go get two rolls of quarters from the bank and get oatmeal from Trader Joe for Lira to cook me a porridge for the trip.
