    Government is much better at closing and prohibiting because it is easy, factual, and visible. And it so nice to see you name on a ordinance all over the place while previous public never heard of such official. But try to open anything back – this a huge responsibility and no public official wants to take. And it feels that normal will never return to AT. Even as late of June 9 (https://www.greenmountainclub.org/covid-19-response/), we’ve got the latest update from VT: “shelters and privies on the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail in Vermont are closed. Trail managers are developing guidelines for the safe use of backcountry facilities and hope to open some facilities in a reduced capacity by June 26. All these fussy prohibitions create an unnecessary atmosphere of tension in a place where you trying to escape the tensions of large cities.
