On sovereignty
For a country to be independent it needs a will and ability to be independent. At peace there is one measure of will and ability, and at war there is a different measure. To remain independent the country needs to sign treaties and enter alliances.
These alliances curb independence, create limitations and might help to maintain the above-mentioned independence.
At peace time, the country might think of itself as independent but can suddenly turn weak and lacking will for independence at the time of war. The political leadership needs to evaluate the country’s potential for resistance, people’s desire for a fight, and adjust the country’s independence with treaties accordingly.
Political leadership needs to cultivate the will to fight in people, the desire to sent its children to fight, the desire to pay extra to protect the country. Among other tasks, leadership needs to uncover elements of weakness and treachery among its people and groups of people. And do it so that not to exceed the accepted level of intrusion and violence.
Government vigilance should become the source of additional respect and unification among people. That is why leadership should have a measurements and indicators of public discontent and billing was to cooperate with the government.

In conversation with Dima N. yesterday we established 3 measures for a country’s sovereignty:
–01– Number of armed conflicts the country is in, i.e. the immediate obligation to fight. Ex.: Ukraine, Israel.
–02– Number of international treaties the country is in, i.e. the obligations to comply. Ex.: Paris accord.
–03– Money or goods received as donations or gifts, i.e. the entanglements.
–04– Geography. Ex.: UK as an island, or Afghanistan as a rugged mountainous area.
