TDA thinkorswim (TOS) OnDemand platform is great way to study your mistakes and errors of previous week, but we found these limitations:
—01– no commissions are deducted
—02– Friday data only available on Sunday (about 36 H delay). It means you can directly set this Friday date, but you can float into Friday using fast forwards buttons.
—03– data stream is often under maintenance on Friday night and you can’t see the charts (you will see endless “Waiting for data”)
—04– your open limit orders will not execute if you skip forward too fast (with 10 min forward button) or jump into a different day
—05– your orders will execute if you jump into the past, so platform doesn’t compare order date and time with current date and time – it just compares your limit price with current market price at this particular moment.
Other than these limitations, OnDemand is a powerful way to learn from your past errors.
– Also, TDA thinkorswim (TOS) OnDemand doesn’t show IV and IV percentile neither in Trade nor in MarketWatch tabs [2019-04-28 SU]
