 It was a slow agonizing death.  Your would look at the patient – WHITEs team – and suspect that the death is soon, but the reason is mysterious.  Slowly declining into grey oblivion without fever or indigestion.  Very strange.  Nothing worked for WHITEs and DARKs were everywhere.  For them everything worked both in defense and in the front lines.
