This information was tested in October 2025.To renew your US passport you do not need to leave the comfort of your own house.
Everything (yes – everything) is done in 20 minutes on ine.
Caution: do not use any sites other that *.GOV
Steps to take
–01–Answer simple questions
–02– Upload your picture and make sure it is accepted:
– use white background
– make sure your head doesn’t throw a shadow
– do not wear glasses or hats
– make your shoulders visible
Retake your picture till you satisfied.–03–Select 50 pages or 19 pages passport book option
–04– Pay $130 normal fee. Do not expedite anything.
You will receive email notification in a few hours after you complete your application
Next day you will receive email that your application is accepted
In a week you will receive a USPS priority mail tracing number
In 11 day you will receive your passport.Example: if you applied om Mon Oct 20, you will receive your passport on Friday, October 31.
Again: do not use any sites other than travel.state.gov.
