00 AT trip July 2021 – preparations and start

Very little preparation took place this time. The time for July vacation came very quickly due to a very busy work schedule. I just decided to hike the last section of the 100-mile wilderness without any bike logistics. That way I would have to walk about 26 miles one way and then retrace my steps back to the car.
It took a lot of preparations at work though to hand over my duties for a few days to my boss and co-workers. Plus, I was working for 2 clients at the same time. However, soon after my OOO message kicked in on Tuesday, June 29 – emails magically stopped and pressure suddenly dropped. I managed to finish everything that I promised, and people stopped sending messages around 16:30.
